During the nineteenth century, it was natural that a man will view a woman as a child since that was that the societal norms; Helmer treated Nora like that since he was a victim of the societal norms at that time, because if he lived in an environment where a woman’s hand was held like a five year old then he would do the same thing to his wife since that was a norm at that time.
